BachCompostela is a unique project presenting the complete organ works of Johann Sebastian Bach in 21 concerts, coinciding with the Holy Year of Compostela 2027.
The programmes explore Bach’s musical universe following the liturgical calendar and the main aesthetic contexts that inspired his work.
Performer
Juan de la Rubia
Titular organist of the Basilica of the Sagrada Família in Barcelona and one of Europe’s leading interpreters of the repertoire of Johann Sebastian Bach.
He has performed in auditoriums and cathedrals in more than thirty countries and maintains an active international career as a concert performer, improviser and conductor.
