  • From Monday to Sunday: 10:00 - 20:00.
  • Box office and admission to the Museum close 30 minutes earlier.

Duration of the visit

  • (Pórtico de la Gloria y Palacio de Gelmírez) Approximate duration of the visit: 45 minutes.
  • (Museo - Colección permanente) Approximate duration of the visit: 60 minutes.

If you have purchased a complete visit ticket to the Cathedral Museum (Pórtico de la Gloria + permanent Collection), you can visit the permanent Collection at any time of the day, regardless of the time you have reserved for the visit to the Pórtico de la Glory. The time of access to the Portico marked on the entrance ticket is approximate and could undergo certain variations depending on demand.

Individual Admission (Pórtico de la Gloria + Museo Colección permanente, Palacio de Gelmírez y exposiciones temporales)

Please note the Museum's opening and closing times. The selected visit time corresponds to the access to the Pórtico de la Gloria (capacity limited to 25 people at a time). The permanent Museum-Collection can be visited before or after the Portico throughout the daily opening hours (average duration: 60 minutes).

  • For each visitor, 2 tickets of the Torre-Pórtico-Cubiertas-Museum rate (€ 10 each) must be added to the shopping cart, 1 for the Pórtico de la Gloria and another for the Torre de la Carraca + Cubiertas, choosing timetables where at least 1 hour elapses between one visit and another and that are the same day

  • For each visitor, 2 tickets of the Torre-Pórtico-Cubiertas-Museum rate (€ 8 each) must be added to the shopping cart, 1 for the Pórtico de la Gloria and another for the Torre de la Carraca + Cubiertas , choosing timetables where at least 1 hour elapses between one visit and another and that are the same day

The interactive audio-guided visit is included in the price of the visit to the Portico. To do this, download the app available for iOS and Android or access the web http://Catedraldesantiago.es/visitaportico/ and enter the sales locator that appears on your ticket.



The use of headphones is mandatory for mobile devices (free disposable units available in the Museum's reception areas, compatible with Android devices)

Group Admission

If more than 25 tickets are purchased (up to a maximum of 50), the group will have to divide into two 15-minute batches so as not to exceed the capacity limit

The maximum duration of each group's stay at the Pórtico de la Gloria will be 30 minutes.

For group consideration, a minimum of 20 tickets must be purchased for each available schedule.

Bags, backpacks, suitcases, umbrellas and pilgrim sticks cannot be accessed inside the Pórtico de la Gloria, Gelmírez Palace and the Permanent Collection

If you have a ticket to the Cathedral Museum or to the Portico de la Gloria, the visit to the Museum of Santa María La Real de Sar is free, presenting this ticket. (Temporarily closed until further notice)
